All rides begin just outside Gardiner, Montana, the gateway to Yellowstone’s North Entrance. It’s the perfect way to slow down, breathe the mountain air, and experience the wild beauty of Yellowstone Country.
1-HOUR YELLOWSTONE HORSEBACK RIDE
Ride through scenic mountain terrain alongside experienced wranglers who share stories about the land, wildlife, and history of this region. This short ride is great for families, beginners, and anyone short on time who still wants an authentic horseback experience.
Pricing: $150 per Adult | $150 per Child (Ages 7–12)

We suggest wearing long pants and shoes that cover your toes, plus a hat, sunscreen, bug repellent, long-sleeved shirt, and a warm jacket in cooler temperatures.
- We welcome riders ages 7 and up
- No riding experience is required; wranglers give a brief orientation before you ride
- Non-riders can walk scenic ranch trails and enjoy the views while their group rides
- You may bring a camera that fastens securely around your neck
EVENING HORSEBACK RIDE & COWBOY COOKOUT
End your day with a one-hour evening ride through the Custer-Gallatin National Forest with mountain views around Yellowstone, then enjoy a hearty cowboy cookout as the sun sets. Relax around the campfire, roast marshmallows, and enjoy Montana’s Big Sky country.

Trip Details
This Saddle and Paddle adventure is designed for guests ages 7 and up. You’ll ride with experienced wranglers on scenic ranch trails, then head to the river for an expertly guided rafting trip.
Even if someone in your group chooses not to ride, they’re welcome to enjoy the beauty of this classic Montana ranch on foot.
Note: You’ll drive yourself from our office to the horseback riding ranch just outside of town.
What to Bring
- For horseback riding: Long pants and close-toed shoes.
- For rafting: Swimsuit or quick-dry clothes. Be ready to get wet!
- We provide all rafting gear, including life jackets, footwear, and wetsuits or splash jackets if needed.
Add a Picnic Lunch ($15)
Add a picnic lunch at checkout and we’ll have it ready at check-in. After your ride, enjoy lunch under a shaded canopy at the ranch.
Lunch includes: turkey and cheese sandwich on a hearty roll, watermelon, potato chips, cookies, plus ice-cold water and lemonade.
